The Great Smoky Mountains [Plus Gatlinburg + Pigeon Forge + Nashville + Memphis]

My parents had a conference in Gatlinburg last week, so we tagged along!  We spent a few days in Gatlinburg, staying in a roomy yet cozy motel, walking the main strip of town, and checking out the edge of the Smoky Mountains.  We drove through Pigeon Forge, and my dad and Colin drove go-carts there, and we visited a knife shop in Sevierville.

We spent a few hours one night in Nashville walking by the honky tonks and watching Harlow dance.

On the way home, we stopped for lunch in Memphis on Beale Street.  It was pouring down rain, so we didn't get to walk around.  Before heading out of town, we went to Bass Pro at the Pyramid for a few hours.

Below is a video with a few clips from our trip, and below that are a ton of photos.  This was a great family trip that I think just about any family would enjoy.  The Smoky Mountains are beautiful, and you could spend days there and not even scratch the surface of what all there is to see.  Memphis and Nashville were just quick stops, because we had to hurry home for other commitments.  There is a lot to see and do in Tennessee, and we hope to do that trip again someday!  If you've been, let me know things to see and do!

Note: All photos and video was shot on my iPhone 6S Plus, so keep that in mind when you wonder why they're not better quality.  I didn't want to spend my time lugging around my big camera.  The iPhone makes it easier with a baby. :)
