First Birthday Crafts & Recipe Roundup
Harlow is turning 2 this month. I can't believe it! I am working on lots of projects for her birthday, and it seems like it was just yesterday that I was making things for her first birthday. Here is a recap of recipes, crafts, and projects from her first birthday.

Paintbrush Wreath
I know this trash to treasure project isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea, but if you have some unwashed paintbrushes, this might be just the idea for you!
I'm really not that bad about washing paintbrushes, but every once in awhile I just forget. This is a few years worth of forgetting that I've been collecting. If you don't have a stack of dirty/ruined brushes, you could buy some really cheap brushes at the craft store and dip them in some paint to get this look.
Let's get started!
Grab a wreath form and a glue gun. I used a styrofoam wreath, because they're cheap, and it's what I had in my stash.
Styrofoam wreath forms tend to disintegrate after awhile, especially in the rain, so I wrapped it in plastic bags to give it an extra layer of protection. Be careful using the hot glue, because it will semi melt the plastic bags, and I don't want you to get burned! I lastly wrapped it in a blue bag just so it would look pretty.
Now start layering your brushes, gluing as you go. When all the brushes are glued in place, go back and glue any loose places.
I glued a ribbon on the back and glued pins into the ribbon to help hold it into place.
Hang that crafty baby!

Embroidered Fall Pillows
October is here! That means there's no shame in covering your house in pumpkins! I put pumpkin decorations out in September, but I know there are a few pumpkin sticklers out there. Well, bring on all the fall decor! Pillows are such an easy way to decorate for the season, so here are some 12 inch throw pillows to add a bit of fall to your patio or couch.
I embroidered the burlap with designs that were both free! The leaf is from iBroidery (free monthly download with free account), and the pumpkin appliqué is from Lynnie Pinnie (free when you sign up for newsletter).
My mom made them into pillows, and they are available to purchase at a little store in Greers Ferry for just $10 each if you're heading to the lake this fall.

Monogrammed Romper & Pillow
Harlow is turning two this month, and I wanted to take a few pictures before her birthday.
I got the romper at Sironia in Waco at the Pickles & Petunias booth. It's so cute! I sewed a little pillow to add a pop of color to the chair I got her at Laverty's in Waco. The fonts I used to embroider the romper and pillow are from Boutique Fonts.
By the way, a post about the DIY felt bows will be posted soon!
