Video: Step-By-Step Embroidered Monogrammed Cloth Napkins Using the FLOATING METHOD

New to embroidery or been doing it for years?  This project is fun for all levels of machine embroiders.  For beginners, I walk you step by step of how I monogrammed these cloth napkins.  The possibilities are endless!

I used a 75/11 ballpoint needle.

Monogrammed Burlap Pillows

I made these pillows for gifts this Christmas.  One is burlap on both sides, and the other has a faux fur back.  I added lace to the monogram to add even more texture.  I didn't use fabric, because I wanted to keep it pretty neutral.

The lace monogram is the Circle Monogram Applique from Boutique Fonts.  The other design is the Split Alpha from Planet Applique (click here to get 20% off your first order from Planet Applique).

Don't you just love burlap?! :)

Monogrammed Toddler Pajamas

What's cuter than these pjs?  Harlow prancing around proudly in these pjs.  It's the cutest.  My mom got Harlow these pjs for her birthday, and I embroidered them with a font from Boutique Fonts.

This pajama set is from the brand Absorba.  My mom found them at Ross or TJMaxx.  I couldn't find this exact pair online, but I typed Absorba into the search bar and found quite a few places online that sell this brand.  Maybe you can track down these adorable pjs!

First Birthday Crafts & Recipe Roundup

Harlow is turning 2 this month.  I can't believe it!  I am working on lots of projects for her birthday, and it seems like it was just yesterday that I was making things for her first birthday.  Here is a recap of recipes, crafts, and projects from her first birthday.

Monogrammed Romper & Pillow

Harlow is turning two this month, and I wanted to take a few pictures before her birthday.

I got the romper at Sironia in Waco at the Pickles & Petunias booth.  It's so cute!  I sewed a little pillow to add a pop of color to the chair I got her at Laverty's in Waco.  The fonts I used to embroider the romper and pillow are from Boutique Fonts.

By the way, a post about the DIY felt bows will be posted soon!

Monogrammed Express Shirt

Who says monogramming is only for kids?  Not me!  Here's an Express shirt with a slight hi-low hem.  I did a simple monogram in the bottom corner on the front of the shirt.  The font is from Boutique Fonts.

Note: At a quick glance, I wasn't able to find the shirt on the Express website, but if you do find it, be sure to go through ebates.com to get 2.5% cash back!

Embroidered Arrow Shirt

Today is the first official day of fall!  I'm a little sad that summer is over, but we still have warm weather here, so it doesn't quit feel like it's gone yet.

I have started working on fall projects and planning new outfits for Harlow for the new season.

Her second birthday is a month away, so I'm busy with projects that I'll be sharing a month from now!

Yesterday I embroidered this shirt to start transitioning into fall once it's cool enough for long sleeves.

The Arrow Alpha design and Natalie font are from Planet Appliqué (click HERE for 20% off).

The shirt is from Children's Place.  I have embroidered on a few of these shirts.  They are affordable and usually on sale and embroider better than shirts you'll get from the craft store.  They also are softer and fit better than those craft store shirts.  I sometimes remove the pocket from these shirts using a seam ripper but decided to leave it on this time.  They also have a shirt without a pocket-- order it online through ebates and get 2% cash back!

I am in the middle of several projects and will share when I can!

Enjoy the first day of Autumn!

Embroidered Volkswagen Shirt

The Volkswagen is finished!  My dad delivered it to me yesterday.  I live 2 1/2 hours from my parents, which is where the Bug was being restored.

Next week I'll share pictures of the Bug.  Until then, we'll talk about something else Volkswagen related-- Harlow's shirt!  She needed a special shirt for the big day!

The car design is the Surf Buggy from Lynne Pinnie.  I used Sew What Pro to add the font.

Now we're ready to cruise the town!
