Christmas Sugar Cookie Recipe

→→→ SUGAR COOKIE RECIPE ←←←

I have made this exact recipe over and over.  It's the best!  Here's what I did wrong this time around, though-- I used margarine.  Always use butter!  I only had a little butter left and needed to save it for cooking dinner.  I had just the right amount of margarine, so I thought it would be an even swap.  Nope.  These cookies are still good, but they're not the same.  They're not as dense or chewy and didn't hold their shape quite as well.

You definitely need to make these cookies-- just please use butter!

I used Wilton sprinkles and Betty Crocker cookie icing.  Easy!  If you're looking for intricate frosting designs like all those Facebook videos, you'll have to look elsewhere.  I wish I had the talent.  All that matters is taste, right? 😉

The dark brown cookies on the top rack are a Paleo experiment.
I'm still working on perfecting the recipe/ingredient swaps. 😄

Sugar cookies are a fun holiday tradition.  Harlow decorated some later that night...when she wasn't busy eating the icing off the spoon.

I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas!

3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies

I LOVE peanut butter cookies!  I pretty much love anything with peanut butter, but peanut butter cookies are my absolute favorite.

These cookies only take three ingredients and are so quick and easy to make.  My mom makes them and told me that this is how my grandmother made them.

Whip up a batch for your friends and family.  They'll have no idea how easy it was!

Combine one cup of sugar, one egg, and one cup of peanut butter.  You can use crunchy or smooth peanut butter.  I prefer using crunchy or at least half crunchy/half smooth.

Roll the cookies into little balls and bake at 350 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes.

When the cookies come out of the oven, I like to score them with a knife and move them to a plate to cool.

When I make them small, I get about 24 cookies.

The next step is the only difficult part of the recipe: Try not to eat the whole batch!  Resisting to eat the cookie dough is hard enough, but not eating all the baked cookies is the hardest!

Enjoy :)
